Get to know Liz
Liz Kirby is a Psychotherapist & Counsellor who loves reconnecting people back to who it is they truly are and not who it is they think they ‘should be’. She is passionate about therapy because it is through self-awareness that you can change patterns, get to know yourself and ultimately change the course of your life.
She enjoys working with perfectionists (having been one herself) as well as people experiencing anxiety, emotional and binge eating, stress, fear of failure, low self-esteem, and the self-professed ‘self-help junkie’ who believes that they are broken and need fixing.
“Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.”
– Carl Jung
Psychotherapist & Counsellor Liz works holistically, combining coaching with therapy, using a range of tools including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Positive Psychology, Compassionate Inquiry, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy and Coaching tools.
Through using a range of techniques, she works creatively to meet your unique needs. Combining coaching and counselling, Liz’s sessions allow you to heal past patterns, develop a deeper understanding of yourself, and also create the life that you want.
Psychotherapist & Counsellor Liz’s tips for People Pleasers & Perfectionists
“Swap the “Shoulds‘ for the ‘Coulds‘ – Next time you find yourself saying you ‘should’ do something, such as; ‘I SHOULD go to this event’ Substitute the word ‘should’ for ‘could’. For eg. “I COULD go to this event’ Notice how different that feels. Notice how you now are free and empowered to make the right decision for YOU. Now feel into your body and ask ‘What do I WANT to do?'”
