Why should I see a Relationship Counsellor?
Are you struggling in your relationship? Do you find it difficult to feel heard? Are you finding that you and your partner seem caught in a pattern that often ends in a fight? An Online Relationship Counsellor may be the solution for you. This type of counselling allows you each to communicate with a counsellor online, simultaneously – the convenience of which can make the sessions extremely beneficial for both you and your partner.

Communication breakdowns and unresolved conflicts are often at the root of relationship problems. Online counselling can help you identify and address these issues in a safe, non-judgmental environment. Your counsellor will guide you through productive discussions and offer tools for effective communication with your partner.
If you feel like your relationship is struggling and want to work on it, online counselling may be exactly what you need. So don’t wait until things reach a breaking point – start improving the way you show up in your love life, right now, with an online relationship counsellor.
How can an Online Relationship Counsellor help?
Some benefits of online relationship counselling include convenience, comfort, and flexibility. It allows you to attend therapy from the comfort of your own home or any convenient location. This can also be helpful for busy couples who may need help with scheduling in-person sessions simultaneously. This is particularly true for parents with young children and working professionals.
Your counsellor, therapist or psychologist will work with you and your partner to identify any issues in the relationship and establish goals for therapy. They will guide you through communication exercises, conflict-resolution strategies, role-playing and constructive feedback to help you improve your relationship. In addition, you may be given tools and resources to continue working on your relationship outside of sessions.
Relationship counselling can help you improve communication, conflict resolution, and overall satisfaction in your relationship. It may also assist with issues such as infidelity or trust issues.
Why should I choose Online Relationship Counselling?
Online therapy means all you need to do is log into your session from a place that works for you, without the need to travel or find a practice location that suits you both. Online counselling also provides comfort and privacy, as you can feel more at ease in your own environment.
In addition, online relationship counselling can offer a flexible schedule and the ability to have sessions more frequently. You and your partner can schedule sessions whenever it works for both of you, and there is often the option to have multiple sessions per week if needed, which may be difficult to achieve if sessions are held in person. This can lead to quicker progress and improvement in the relationship.

If you feel like your relationship could use some work, maybe it’s time to consider an online relationship counsellor. It can provide convenience, comfort, support and guidance to improve and strengthen your relationship. And when our relationships thrive – so do we.
So take the first step towards a happier and healthier partnership – make the change today by booking in for online relationship counselling with The Indigo Project.

What can I expect from therapy? What is therapy like?
Every therapist is different and their therapeutic style and personalities are all unique. However, all of our Indigo practitioners will hold a compassionate and non-judgmental space for you, where you are free to be who you are. Your therapist is there to listen to you, guide you, and help you overcome life’s challenges.
Generally, you’ll spend the first session getting to know each other, talking about your history and what it is you’d like to work through. From your second session onwards, you’ll get to go deeper, peeling back the layers and all the while learning practical strategies to help you transform and grow.
At Indigo we encourage our clients to have at least 10-20 sessions, because we believe that therapy is a long-term journey of commitment, growth and investment in yourself. After seeing your therapist for a while, you may continue to book occasional check-in sessions as you feel more confident doing life with the knowledge and tools you have gained.
Who is online therapy for?
Everyone is welcome to attend online counselling or therapy with one of our practitioners at The Indigo Project.
Online counselling or therapy via Zoom is an accessible, safe and convenient option for those who are unable to attend face-to-face appointments, or simply prefer to meet online. Whether it be a busy schedule due to work and family, health-related reasons or distance, online counselling can help you.
What issues are suited for online therapy?

What if I can’t see the therapist I had in mind?
Our therapists typically have capacity to see several new clients each month. However these openings can get filled up fast from those who have been on a waitlist. If there is someone that you particularly want to see but is currently unavailable, we can place you on a waitlist until there is an opening.
If you prefer to attend an online counselling session sooner, our Therapy Matchmakers can help you find an alternative practitioner based on your needs and what you are looking to achieve in therapy.
Meeting a therapist for the first time can feel like a first date. If you don’t connect with your therapist on your first or second session, we’ll pair you with a new practitioner and your next session will be on the house* as part of our Perfect Match Promise.
