COMMUNICATE, DON’T HATE
This is a practical workshop on how to master this essential life skill.
Let’s face it – relationships are the absolute stress test for our communication skills. From how to do the washing and where to go for the next holiday down to what is important to you in life – everything has to be discussed in one way or the other with your partner. As much as we’d love our partner to be able read our minds or to just ‘get us’, it’s an unrealistic expectation to put on our loved one, so we need to find a way to accurately express ourselves. Yep, and that goes for our deepest fears, insecurities and desires.
If you’ve ever avoided having a tough conversation, felt misunderstood with another person (either a partner, colleague or friend), and been unclear about how to express what’s going on in your head, join Provisional Psychologist Hanna Janssen-Kallenberg on learning to communicate effectively. Based on psychological models combined with modern mindfulness techniques, you’ll learn the required tools to address even the hardest of issues, express your authentic self and make both sides feel heard.
