Anxiety, I'm Done
AboutWe all have worries - they’re a normal part of life. But anxiety is a little more than that; it’s a roadblock. You literally can't see past that fear or thought to the point where you quickly arrive at worst-case scenarios, often manifesting in the physical form; panic attacks, a tight chest, breathlessness… Sometimes without an obvious trigger. It can seriously wear you out.
In this dynamic two-hour workshop, we’ll take you through the basics of anxiety and guide you as you explore the effects anxiety has on your body, mind, behaviour and how it impacts your relationship with others and yourself.
You’ll begin to build an awareness around how anxiety is holding you back and learn practical strategies for managing your mind, while crafting a vision for a meaningful life, free from an anxious mind.
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:
- How to engage with your anxiety differently
- How our minds are wired to be anxious and the role that evolution plays
- How your body naturally responds when anxious
- How to use your breath to manage anxiety
- Relaxation techniques to help manage anxiety
- How to use self compassion in moments of pain
- Insight into your anxiety and how it affects your thoughts and behaviour
- An awareness of how anxiety affects your relationship with yourself and others

"As humans, we have a tendency to either run from pain or we allow it to hook us to a point that it distorts how we see the world. We often try to outsmart reality by turning to behaviours that move us away from our values. We might even be successful in escaping reality for a while. Eventually, however, reality forces its way back in. Many of us exhaust our energy levels by constantly trying to change our reality. But what if we could learn to accept reality exactly as it is? Imagine what life could be like if we could drop the struggle, accept ourselves, cracks and all, without shame, with care and compassion and finally let the light in.” - Anja Schmidkunz
